Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. At Essential Health we follow these fundamental principles to protect your information:

  • We don’t ask for your personal information unless we truly need it.
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of our site.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Essential Health may collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting non-personally-identifying information is to better understand how visitors use our website. From time to time, Essential Health may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information: What and Why?

Certain visitors to the Essential Health website choose to interact with Essential Health in ways that require Essential Health to gather personally-identifying information.  The amount and type of information that Essential Health gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, if you use our Online Bookings system, then we need to collect personal information in order to book your appointment. If you use our Online Enquiry form or Sign Up for our blog updates, then we will request personal information, such as, but not limited to, your contact email address.  In each case, Essential Health collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Essential Health. Essential Health does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities. If you have an account of this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data that we hold about you. This does not include data that we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

We require the use of external companies (such as, but not limited to, Cliniko: Healthcare Practice Management Software) for our online bookings, plus analytics, and other business services. This is integral to our operations, and thereby may collect identifying information about the devices that connect to their services. This information collected is required to operate and improve their services provided to us, including for fraud detection. You can learn more about Cliniko and read its privacy policy at

Aggregated Statistics

Essential Health may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, Essential Health may monitor our most popular pages or use spam screening tools to help identify spam. Essential Health does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

Essential Health discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organisations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Essential Health behalf and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Essential Health will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organisations, as described above. Essential Health discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when Essential Health believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Essential Health, third parties or the public at large.
