Profile -

of Essential Health Centre and owners Jeremy & Caroline Hill

Essential Health Centre is owned and managed by husband and wife team, Jeremy and Caroline Hill. Both have a large amount of experience in Naturopathic Medicine, sharing a keen interest and strong passion in the use and development of preventative medicine, constantly furthering their education and keeping up-to-date of all new information.

It is with this passion and committment that Essential Health is continuously searching for new, exciting and clinically useful tools to utilise in clinic. Hence, Essential Health Centre has been the first in Western Australia to introduce many of the wonderful testing equipment that help the practitioners to gain deeper insight into their patients' health.

Essential Health Centre aims to continue to offer the first of many more exciting health testing facilities not only to the people of Western Australia, but also to our many interstate and international clients, to better bridge the gap between science and nature.

Jeremy Hill – Diploma of Natural Medicine (currently studying toward Advanced ND)
Caroline Hill – Bachelor of Science, Diploma in Natural Medicine.

Jeremy’s strong interest in health developed at an early age, with the first book he ever bought being “Ouch – All About Cuts, Bruises and Other Hurts”, from the book club in his first year at school. The only son of an old farming family, Jeremy initially studied Agriculture, deciding soon after that his farming heritage was not for him and progressing to study his passion, Naturopathy - achieving excellent marks all through his studies.
He opened his practice in the early 1990’s in Leura Avenue, Nedlands where he worked for 3 years, during which time he began writing his long-running monthly column in the holistic journal NOVA. Not long after, he needed to move to larger rooms in busy Hampden Road.
This was when Jeremy met Caroline.

Caroline began her career in the health field working as a Registered Nurse before commencing her own Naturopathic business in the mid 1990's. Her background of Nursing led her to work mostly in acute-care areas such as Emergency, Radiology and Neurosurgical Nursing and although enjoying the challenges, Naturopathic medicine was her childhood dream.
Realising that they had many ideas in common, Jeremy and Caroline began working together, joining their enthusiasm, experience and knowledge to form Essential Health Centre in 1999 (and marrying the following year).

Essential Health Centre has expanded rapidly since 1999, relying almost entirely on the word of mouth of happy clients. The clinic relocated to its current address in Subiaco, on January 1st 2000 where we plan to continue educating people into leading happier, healthier and more vibrant lives.
